Digital health sponsorship puts diabetes in the driver’s seat

Digital health company DarioHealth has announced it is teaming up with Lazier Racing partner and Indy 500 driver Buddy Lazier to raise awareness about diabetes.

The companies aim to raise awareness for diabetes at the 101st Indianapolis which is set to take place on 28 May. The partnership comes from Lazier Racing Partner’s sponsorship developer Bruce Bohlander who uses Dario to help manage his diabetes.

Indy 500 racer Buddy Lazier, who will be displaying DarioHealth’s logo on his car, said: “DarioHealth has a unique and easy solution for diabetes management. The Dario Blood Glucose Monitoring System is an all-in-one blood glucose meter that connects to an iPhone. It’s a truly amazing product and we hope to raise awareness about diabetes, which is one of the biggest chronic diseases our country is facing today.”

Erez Raphael, chairman and CEO of DarioHealth, commented about the sponsorship: “Buddy Lazier is one of the most well-respected names in auto racing today. He is a past Indianapolis 500 winner and shows remarkable dedication to his sport. People with diabetes can learn from him that determination and commitment can lead to better health outcomes. Our new relationship with the Lazier Family is the vision of one our users, Mr. Bruce Bohlander, and we are grateful for his continued support and incredible feedback.”
