Digital mental health platform wins innovation award

A digital platform, designed to help people with mental and behavioural health issues has been awarded for its technology and customer impact.

SilverCloud Health, which is available via NHS referral, is an online platform where users are given personalised programmes that treat mental and behavioural conditions such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and OCD.

The company won the Frost & Sullivan 2017 European Enabling Technology Leadership Award for its contributions to the internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) industry.

A global team from Frost & Sullivan evaluated SilverCloud and other participants, looking at what technology was used and how customers were benefited.

Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst, Bhargav Rajan, said: “SilverCloud Health has developed the best-in-class solution for the delivery of behavioural health therapy through an online platform. Given the sound technological platform upon which the software is built and its immense scope for scalability, SilverCloud Health is primed for wide-scale adoption and rapid expansion into areas beyond mental health disorders.”

SilverCloud Health launched in 2012 and has seen over 125,000 patients use the platform. The company’s clinical trials show higher patient engagement, better recovery, and a high degree of satisfaction than that of competitors.

About the award, Ken Cahill, CEO of SilverCloud Health, said: “We are honoured to be recognised by Frost & Sullivan with this year’s Enabling Technology Leadership Award. This award not only highlights the real-world impact and results of SilverCloud but also the potential of SilverCloud to become the ubiquitous technology platform underpinning outcomes based healthcare. This honour is only made possible by our hard-working team, our investors and our growing customer base internationally.”
