Health and care consultancy Carnall Farrar (CF) has partnered with a provider of digital behaviour change solutions, Changing Health, in a bid to empower people to live healthier lives at a national scale.
The partnership means that healthcare providers as well as public and private companies can offer their patients, members, or staff, highly personalised support to make positive lifestyle changes – and crucially, sustain them over the long term.
CF combines healthcare analytics and thought leadership with experience of frontline service delivery. CF provides support in Digital Adoption by helping healthcare systems and innovators to work together and maximise uptake through understanding the range of needs of individuals, as well by understanding how to support new tools and approaches.
Ben Richardson, managing partner at CF, said: “Digital innovation has the potential to revolutionise healthcare, and giving people the tools to take greater ownership of their own health is a fundamental part of this. Changing Health are leaders in the field and trailblazers in combining evidence-based behaviour change with effective digital interfaces. Working with them is a tremendously exciting opportunity both to have a direct impact on people’s lives, and make a step change in the adoption of digital health and care solutions.”
Changing Health, a spin-out company from Newcastle University, offers organisations both the technology and programmes to improve health outcomes for those who need it.
In Summer 2019, Changing Health will launch a digital platform for its UK and international partners. This new platform will aim to deliver an entirely personalised experience for each user.
Professor Mike Trenell, Changing Health chief scientific officer, said: “Digital health is the fasting growing area of health, and not surprisingly, it plays a central role in the forward vision for the NHS. We are proud to enter this partnership with a leader in organisational change to support the expansion of digital health from the curious wings of healthcare to centre stage.
“CF have shown that they’re the gold standard experts in organisational behaviour change through their partnerships in health economies across the UK and beyond. We’re looking forward to working closely with them on our mission of empowering millions of people to make lifestyle changes that last.”
