Milner Fenwick and Hospedia sign a distribution deal for HealthClips healthcare video content to be available on the Hospedia patient centre care platform
Milner Fenwick informs patients about their health through HealthClips multi-media education and currently supplies over 600 videos on healthcare topics in 3 languages.
Hospedia’s patient centred care platform is already in operation at 175 hospitals and over 70,000 beds in the UK, North America and the Middle East.
The new distribution deal between Milner Fenwick and Hospedia means that Milner Fenwick’s HealthClips solutions will be available at the patients’ bedside through the Hospedia bedside platforms that are already in place.
The partnership means relevant HealthClips videos can be automatically assigned to patients, to educate them on their specific condition as well as encouraging patients to better understand, and manage, their recovery.
The companies say the partnership could provide benefits to patients and hospital staff alike by educating patients and potentially leading to reduced re-admission.
In addition, the companies say improved patient experience has lead to increased patient satisfaction scores (such as HCAPS in the US, and CQUIN in the UK) and is supported by government initiatives such as Meaningful Use 2 in the United States.
