Podcast: 15 Minutes With The Doctor

For avid listeners of podcasts and enthusiasts of healthcare, a series is out now that looks at the developments within the industry.

The podcast – 15 Minutes With The Doctor – sees Dr Vinay Shankar sharing the stories of healthcare entrepreneurs and innovators who are developing their ideas. Listeners can access a range of stories detailing entrepreneurs’ successes and mistakes. Each show covers key strategies, interesting concepts, and has actionable tips and tricks for listeners.

The first-five episodes cover a range of topics from digital health to medical devices. In the first episode, Vinay delves into the pre-operative assessment tool developed by Ultramed, with whom Vinay first met at the Med-Tech innovation conference in 2016. The other episodes discuss an app to help users think like expert medical doctors, a medically certified rugby head guard, a new app capturing big data from patients, and an incredible handheld wireless ultrasound device.

Speaking about the podcast, Vinay, said: “I wanted to create a show that inspires and promotes innovation in the healthcare field. Each show unravels a health-related entrepreneurial journey, from which there is much to learn. Healthcare has an enormous potential for collaboration and improvement, especially in terms of digital health and medical technology. This podcast serves as an agent to support this growth.”
